Welcome to our home at the foot of the Untersberg! We are delighted to introduce our two lovingly furnished holiday apartments between Berchtesgaden and Salzburg – the perfect place to unwind, recharge your batteries and enjoy the breathtaking mountain scenery. Our apartments were completely renovated in 2025 and designed with great care and attention to detail. We want you to feel at home from the very first moment. You can choose between two comfortable holiday apartments: - The "Untersbergblick" apartment is cosy, modern and furnished to a high standard – ideal for relaxing and feeling at ease. - The slightly larger "Göllblick" apartment also has a private balcony with a stunning view of the Hoher Göll and the Eagle's Nest (Kehlsteinhaus). Guests of both apartments are welcome to use the cosy terrace, a lovely spot to linger and unwind. There you will find a large picnic table for meals outdoors and a comfortable hanging chair for two – perfect for enjoying the fresh mountain air and the peaceful atmosphere. Both apartments are in the same house, so you can holiday with us in a group of up to 8 people. Our apartments offer modern comfort with: - Infrared heating for quick, pleasant warmth - High-quality box-spring beds with extra-large bed linen for a restful night's sleep - Flat-screen TV and a cosy living area - A high-quality, well-equipped kitchen Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and a private parking space right at the house are included in the price. Thanks to the central location, popular destinations such as Berchtesgaden, Lake Königssee, the Berchtesgaden Salt Mine and the city of Salzburg are just a short drive away. We live on site and are always happy to help – whether for a little chat, personal tips for day trips or simply a warm welcome. At the same time, our apartments offer plenty of privacy if you'd rather have some peace and quiet to yourselves. The Schiller family Environment description Thanks to the convenient location, you can reach the popular excursion destinations in the Berchtesgaden region (e.g. Königssee, Eagle's Nest, salt mine, Watzmanntherme, Jenner, Berchtesgaden Documentation, etc.) in a short time. The beautiful Austrian city of Salzburg is also just a 10-minute drive away (zoo, shopping, Hellabrunn Palace, Hohensalzburg Fortress, Getreidegasse, etc.). The bus stop “Marktschellenberg” is 300 meters away. For all sports enthusiasts, the surrounding area offers wonderful mountain and bike tours (in all levels of difficulty), as well as small but fine ski areas in winter (Götschen, Schwarzeck, Rossfeld). Cross-country skiers will also find well-maintained trails in the region. Tobogganing is possible in summer and winter. About the host We are Edith and Günther with our two daughters Leonora and Josefine. We are the fourth and fifth generation to live in the house. Arrival without vignette is also possible via Berchtesgaden. By train to Salzburg main station or Berchtesgaden main station and then continue by bus line 840, get off at the bus stop “Marktschellenberg”. Description of the accommodation Untersbergblick Holiday Apartment – 40 m², completely renovated in 2025, for up to 4 guests and designed especially for families with children, with views of the legendary Untersberg. Our lovingly and modernly furnished holiday apartment is on the raised ground floor (a few steps up) of our house in Marktschellenberg – in a quiet location between Berchtesgaden and Salzburg. From the cosy dining area you can enjoy the impressive view of the Untersberg right from breakfast. Berchtesgaden, Lake Königssee and Salzburg are within easy reach, and the bus stop is only 300 m away. We live in the house ourselves and are happy to help with tips for day trips. On the east-facing balcony you can enjoy the morning sun and the view of the impressive Hoher Göll, while the open-plan kitchen and living area looks out onto the legendary Untersberg.
